SMU Law to Host Lutie A. Lytle Conference

SMU Dedman School of Law is proud to host the 12th Annual Lutie A. Lytle Black Women Law Faculty Workshop and Writing Retreat
July 11-18, 2018

This conference, co-chaired and organized this year by SMU Dedman School of Law professors Lolita Buckner Inniss and Jessica Dixon Weaver, offers rigorous, cutting-edge work that engages local, national and international audiences while supporting incredibly important scholarship. Since the Workshop’s inception in 2007, participants have built an impressive scholarly record, producing over 500 articles, 45 book chapters and 30 books, work that has enriched, educated and inspired us.

This conference also offers opportunities for mentoring, career support and fellowship. The Lutie A. Lytle Black Women Law Faculty Workshop and Writing Retreat has been instrumental in helping participants to enter the legal academy, to remain in the legal academy, and to achieve success in the legal academy.
